Our goals are simple. Our methods are proven. Were not interested with mediocrity or the status quo, life is too short to be average at anything you work at. We train hard, play hard, compete often, learn from others, and learn from our own mistakes. Hardship and adversity build character and much of our training is an exercise in character development. For many years we trained in spartan conditions, without heat, water or bathroom facilities. The people who stuck with us during those times, are the same type we still seek today. Our program is not for everyone, but thats something we believe is a badge of honor.
At CGS the instructors participate in every aspect of the class. We lead by example. From the warm-ups and drills, to technique and sparring, you'll find the instructor on the mat sweating with the rest of the team. We put our reputation on the line every class, as every member strives for that day when they can catch their instructor in a submission.
Since 2001, our school has become more like a second family to most. Win or lose, at the end of the day theirs no question about which team is having more fun...
